"I was referred to Dr. Yu by my holistic dentist, Dr. Gilton. During my 1st visit, I told Dr. Yu I was allergic to metal. He showed me an implant made of ceramic. I was so thrilled to hear that, as my body reacts badly to any type of metal. Yesterday morning Dr. Yu inserted two ceramic implants in my mouth. I had no pain during the procedure, and I took a mild pain pill after the surgery. I slept through the night with no pain and no pills. Today I woke up still with no pain, and just the slightest bit of swelling. That truly surprised me because when he was doing the procedure, I compared it to renovating a house. He was pounding and chipping away and drilling holes. I wondered if I was going to hurt and swell as a result. Didn't happen. Dr. Yu uses natural products as well as medical prescriptions. My boyfriend had implants put in by another doctor and suffered for 2 weeks until the swelling went down. As a result I was not looking forward to the procedure. I can honestly say that my procedure was uneventful (a good thing!). The hardest part of the whole procedure was not being able to talk during it! Since the 2 implants are in the front of my mouth, I brought in an invisaline brace that I had from several years ago. He had 2 white teeth painted on the part where the 2 implants are, which I can wear during the 4 months it takes to heal. I tried it on and it looks very natural and doesn't hurt. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Yu to anyone who is getting implants. He's extremely thorough and caring. He explained each step to me as he was doing it. He also used PRP and my own blood and bone to build up the layers needed for the implants to bind. I believe that is 1 reason I don't hurt. He used what was naturally in me as well as a natural stone (ceramic), so there is no rejection, which can cause problems."
